Starting May 9 the Center for Emerging Visual Artists will be having a show of their current artists at the Photo West Gallery, showing in many mediums from photography to illustration and sculpture. The
CFEVA has a lot of programs helping developing artists, which include mentoring and showing their work in galleries. So for this post I thought I'd write about on the artists in this show,
Keiko Miyamori.
She makes dark paintings and illustrations as well as incredible sculptures of trees and roots bound in resin, as if they are fragile and are to be kept on display.

Visit her website (www.keikomiyamori.com) and see her work at the CFEVA opening May 9, tickets are needed to enter, see the CFEVA website for more info.
